The Coronado Golf Course is one of the City of Coronado’s most treasured assets. Opened in 1957, it is rated as one of the best public golf courses in the nation. It is a favorite destination for local residents and celebrities alike, and Tee Times are available daily. Located just minutes from downtown San Diego over the iconic San Diego Coronado Bay Bridge, it offers beautiful San Diego harbor and downtown views, and is sure to be a favorite destination for anyone that enjoys the game of Golf.
The course measures 6,590 yards from the blue tees and is a par 72. Immaculate greens, wide inviting fairways and dramatic views coupled with incomparable weather, make Coronado a must-play for all golfers year round.
Dress Code
- Appropriate Golf Attire
- Each player must have their own set of golf clubs
- Players should check-in 20 minutes prior to their reserved tee time to avoid tee time reassignment or cancellation
- Players are expected to support Pace of Play of 4 hours and 30 minutes
Tee Time Policy
Tee Times may be reserved up to 14 days in advance, and under most circumstances can be made for same-day play. Reservations can be made on line, by phone or in person.
Reservations inside of two days are available at no charge if booked over the phone or in person.
Same day and next day reservations may also be booked online for an additional charge of $1.50/player. Reservations 3-14 days out can be booked on-line at additional charge of $18/player. Online booking fees are not refundable.
Reservations two days out – the day after tomorrow – will remain available only on a first-come basis, either in person or by phone, as described below.
All players must ride in a fivesome (Currently fivesome are unaviable due to COVID-19)

Tee Times – 0 to 1 Days in Advance
- Tee times may be obtained either in person, by phone or on line for day of play and next day play.
- Reservations for same day and next-day play made on line incur an additional fee of $1.50 per person.
- On line booking fees are Non-Refundable.
- There are no limits to the number of same day or next day reservations that may be booked.
- On the day of play, please check-in 25 minutes prior to your tee time to avoid tee time reassignment or cancellation.
Tee Times – 2 Days in Advance
- Tee times may only be obtained either in person or by phone two days prior to play.
- IN PERSON –Reservations may be booked in person from 6.30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. two days prior to the day of play. Reservations are assigned on a first-come basis. Each player may book one foursome.
- BY PHONE - To obtain a tee time via phone, call the starter at (619) 522-6590 ext 2 two days prior to the day of play, beginning at 9 a.m.
- Telephone reservations commence at 9 a.m. Tee times will be assigned in order until filled.
- Online reservations are not available.
- On the day of play, please check-in 25 minutes prior to your tee time to avoid tee time reassignment or cancellation.
Advance Tee Times - 3 to 14 Days in Advance
- Advance Tee Times are available On-Line.
- Reservations for Advance Tee Times may be made three to 14 days in advance.
- Non-Refundable Advance Tee Time Fees (priority booking) are: $18 per person.
- Up to two consecutive advance reservations may be reserved in this manner.
- On the day of play, please check-in 25 minutes prior to your tee time to avoid tee time reassignment or cancellation.
Note
All on-line booking fees are non-refundable. The advance fee does not apply towards green fees or cart fees. Greens fees and cart fees will be charged the day of play. Player ID confirmation is required at check-in.
Cancellation Policy
Tee time reservations must be canceled no later than 24 hours prior to day of play. If the reservation(s) is not canceled by this time, the credit card holder shall be responsible for the full green fees and advance fees with the credit card being automatically charged.
Walk-On Waiting List
- Players without an assigned tee time may go on the waiting list on the day of play.
- Play is on a first come first serve basis and is at the discretion of the starter.
- Twilight waiting list starts ½ hour before the first twilight start time.

Coronado Resident
A Coronado resident owns property in Coronado or lives in Coronado at least six months of the year. To qualify for resident benefits, Coronado residents must show proof of residency by providing a government issued photo ID plus one of the following documents, showing name of applicant and Coronado address:
- Current property tax papers (original or photocopy with applicant's or participant's name);
- Current utility/telephone bill;
- Current rental receipt/lease;
- Imprinted address on check (not acceptable if handwritten or P.O. box);
- Military orders/housing assignment in applicant's/participant's name;
- Business owners who can provide both proof of ownership and property tax payment.
